Langkawi Day 4 : Shopping and beach time

This will be the last installment of my Langkawi trip two months ago. You guys can read the rest of my Langkawi trip here. So this is my continuation of Day 3 after we visited Langkawi Sky Cab.

After dinner, we drove back to Chenang beach after dropping my parents off at the hotel. Whole day of walking and exploring easily wore them down. We wanted to explore Chenang Beach at night since it is more happening than Kuah. So if you're planning to visit Langkawi, better stay at Chenang since it is near the beach and lots of activities around the bars and cafes.

Night market in front of the Underwater World

I've done some research and found out there are other night markets around Langkawi but sadly we're out of time to explore each of them. We were just passing by the night market above because we wanted to get some food to bring to the beach.

Blurry but this is the night view on the beach

There are lots of cafes along the beach and some put bean bags on the beach for people to chillaxing. It is pretty awesome to lie on the bean bags facing the pitch black sea while listening to the occasional waves crashing. Except that there were mosquitoes too. What a bummer.

The yellow bean bags belong to the Yellow Beach cafe obviously.

They have hammocks too on the patio

Awww that's so sweet

We spent the rest of the night playing on the beach. We played "Running Man" it was hilarious but resulted me in black bruises the next day. It was fun to ditch the technology and played our childhood games such as hopscotch, "slipper throwing game" or better known as Main Tikau Selipar among the Iban, By the time we're exhausted, it was past midnight. So we drove back drenched in sweat ans woke up with aching muscle the next day.

Day 4 was spent rather relaxing. Initially I wanted to explore Black Sand Beach and Seven Well Waterfall but they seemed exhausted from all the activities the previous days. Instead, we spent the day in the mall.

Most of the malls are located in Kuah town. Naturally when we said we stayed in Kuah, the locals would smile and said "Ah.. you guys must have love shopping" Only the truth is, I had no idea about this when I booked our hotel. Anyway the main shopping attraction in Langkawi is the duty free shops. So there are a dozen a dime of duty free shops and almost every shops sell the same variety of duty free goods such as boozes, cigarette, chocolates and perfumes. Price wise, it is more or less the same unless if you buy from large scale shop like Teow Soon Huat. Their chocolates are relatively cheaper than the rest.

According to the sales assistant it is because they bought their stocks in large scale and able to get good price for it. Therefore, they can afford to lower their price to compete with other shops. Teow Soon Huat is located in Kuah, am not sure if they have branches or not.

Toblerone is the most popular chocolate around the island

Told you it is popular, every stores carry this

Late afternoon came so we changed and headed back to Chenang Beach. We went back everyday and really should just stay there. The 30 minutes commute back and forth is really troublesome. I forgot to pack extra bra/bikini top after our islands hopping trip and had to walk around Chenang in wet bikini top before I gave up and bought the cheapest bikini which I might never use again in the future.

My brother still couldn't get enough of banana boat, so we went on another ride but this time cheaper and longer time on the sea since the vendors already know us. A little tip here, it doesn't hurt to flirt a little bit because in the end, my brother got a free jet ski ride because we're apparently friends with the vendor.

We played a bit in the water until everyone was tired and went on to do our own stuff on the beach. My brother and bf wanted to play volleyball so they rented the ball and net for RM30/hour. At first we thought it was free since some tourists said they played it for free the day before.

When my brother and bf had gathered enough players, the vendor came and demanded RM30 to rent the ball for them. I wanted to play too since all of them played but opted out because they had more than enough players. Other tourists nearby also joined in and it got crowded.

Guys really can bond over any sports.

Since the guys dominated the game, us girls took off and do our own things.

It was sun bathing for me and sea swimming for my sisters.

I've decided to ditch sun bathing after a while and got under shade to enjoy my insanely cheap apple cider. It was just RM3.80 per bottle.

I miss having apple cider on the beach, I want another beach holiday!

Look at my raccoon eyes, this is why you should wear waterproof make up

We stayed on the beach until the sun set

Afterward we frantically took a quick shower in the nearby public shower because it closed at 7pm. Then drove another half an hour back to Kuta to pick up my parents for dinner. Dinner was delicious at one of the popular spot which sadly we only discover on our last day.

We ended our night at Dataran Lang just to get our photo with the giant eagle. I mean how could we came to Langkawi and not had our photo here because it symbolizes Langkawi. Too bad the photo turned out to be a little crook. This was after numerous tries from one of the tourist that we asked to take photo for us,

Daddy and mummy with the girls

Langkawi was great however I'm quite upset that I didn't get to do more activities. I doubt that I would come back again in the future but oh well, you never know. I wouldn't purposely plan a trip back here again because there are other places that I wanted to explore but in life, I have learn to never say never.

Off the list

Remember this post about my first list of lust that I've wrote for over a year ago? Well, this is a follow up post of that entry. After over a year, I have finally crossed two items off the list.

1) Sigma Mrs. Bunny Travel Kit

I bought this some time after I wrote that blogpost and I have never regretted it. Yes, it was a tad pricy even though I got it for 30% off Luxola but it was the best investment ever because I put on make up daily and it has never shed a single hair before. The bristle still so soft even after a year and I clean it weekly with make up brush cleaner.

2) Prada Saffiano Leather wallet

This one is my recent purchase. Before this I never actually thought of purchasing designer wallet, it was just a dream to own one. But after one too many damaged and tear wallets later on, I've decided it is time to invest in one that I can use for years.

Even before I step into Prada, I already know what I want. So I went straight to the display case and ohhh-ing ahh-ing over the Saffiano wallet. The SA suddenly put a similar one in front of me and told me that it is the latest Saffiano wallet with colours combo: peonia, light pink and white. Don't quote me on the colours name because I might get it wrong.

I was contemplating between the classic Saffiano and the multicolored one. As if she could read my mind, the SA blurted out: "You already have the answer, just go for it"
With a little push like that, I brought home my multicolored Saffiano.

Two items off the list, now I shall work towards the rest.

My Fall essentials

Leaves turning color and the crisp breeze blowing sound like a perfect evening to put on your favorite sweater for a casual outing. I wish Malaysia has fall season so that I can dress accordingly. Well, never mind that now because it rains almost every evening now. It is cold enough for me to put on my fall outfits.

I have been on the look out for a grey sweater like this and finally found it from Padini. It is so comfortable and lightweight at the same time. You can get a similar piece here from Forever 21 or H&M. Although it is raining, it is still warm enough for short. I picked the grey acid wash short to go along with my grey theme. Alternatively, if fall is creeping to your country now, you can swap the short with tight and circle skirt or anything that rock your boat. Fashion is supposed to be fun anyway.

Since my outfit is already grey, I opt for quite a standout accessories to play with. Red cuff and stud bracelet go perfect with the casual look. I was gonna put on my gold chain necklace to spice up the look, but I've left it somewhere else.

As for the bag, I chose a structure satchel to compliment the look. It is spacious enough for my wallet, phone, keys and a lip balm. Even better if you have the Cambridge Satchel to go for this casual, on the go look.

Fall season calls for darker hues and what's more perfect than the bloody dark nail color for the season. Also, a dark lipstick is perfect too for the cold autumn feel.

My last essential is the maroon ballerina flat. I'm sticking to dark red palette when it comes to footwear. This ballerina flat is comfortable enough for me to go places and yet durable for the rain. Sorry for the vein-y feet though!

If you are shopping for Fall essentials, do give Raise a look because you can buy discounted gift cards for popular stores like Forever 21, H&M, Pacsun, Sephora and so many more. This can helps you to save money. In case you have extra gift cards that you want to sell, you can sell it here too.

Currently Raise only available at the States (lucky you States people!), but they are looking to expand soon. I hope they reach Malaysia as soon as possible. So do head over to Raise now and start your Fall shopping.

Iphone snaps

An Iphone snaps update to see what's going on in my life for the past month. Right now I'm really piss off with The Sims 3. The thing is I just reformat my laptop, hence I need to reinstall the game. And the problem is that I keep getting error message when installing it. Probably the drive can't read the disc or something, I'm so desperate that I even watch Youtube and googling like a nerd to find a solution. This is my third try to install the game, finger cross it works.

I was complaining to the bf that we seldom take photo together these days. And he literally forced me to take photo with him since then. ='=

During dinner with my family

Outing at the mall

I couldn't carry Eden for more than 5 minutes now, he's growing bigger and bigger

One of my attempts to try eat healthy.
And yet I burnt my fish fillets.

Oh yeah, I've finally managed to reinstall The Sims 3.  Why does all these games are so complicated to install or am I just to noob? It took me whole day and various of forums and Youtube tutorials to figure it out.

My nail polishes haul from Elianto. I got all of these for only RM25 from the current online sale for Elianto.

Went for Sushi King Bonanza last 2 weeks and I had so much salmon that I wanted to puke.

Visit my brother's dorm at my alma mater. Totally not missing the tiny room.

Quick selfie

My dark circle is horrible T_T

My best buy from Daiso lololol

I've been looking for herbs for cooking but it is so expensive. I even contemplating to plant my own except that I have no idea where to buy it. I was so excited when I spotted basil and oregano in Daiso. They even have ginger, turmeric, garlic and so on. Japanese are really awesome.

My Sims before I uninstall it.

I created this Sims out of boredom and kinda hate her because she did not accomplish anything. Technically my fault la since I'm the one played her. I cheated to get more money to build the house and slowly get bored because I have nothing to look forward to except to see her twins growing up. It is taxing to care for twins for a single mother, so I just uninstall it. Actually I could just create a new character lolol.

Trying out strawberry tea, tasted really weird.

Another attempt of eating clean. Baked fish with potato and carrots.

My first try making baked fish in foil was a bit fail because my fish was tasteless, not enough seasoning. The second try which was photo above was over seasoned. Too salty and peppery. Hopefully my next try will turn better.

Back to the gym after a long time of hiatus

Evening walk with Pino

Actually it's my favorite thing to do after walk. Sadly, lately a 5 minutes walk will caused me numerous mozzie bites. Right now I have to put on mosquito repellent before leaving the house.

I did the unexpected last Saturday morning by going to the farmer market with my mom. I have not been there for at least 10 years. How much things has change now because the sight of fresh produce makes me happy now.

And everything is cheap too if compared to supermarket but the downside is it was so hot

So glad to be back in the air conditioner.

That's all for update now because I want to go back to my Sims. I just bought two new expansions and so excited to try it.
